Busted Flat 02:39
"Busted Flat” Sometimes I get down in the dumps about money. I like to go out drinking and act real funny, but when you can't afford your room and board it's time to take up a new hobby. Oh mama I'm busted flat, won't you show me where the party's at? I want to get a drink but I ain't got a dime. So wont you to show me how to spend my time? I like when you get me real high and feed me a meal. I don't cheat or lie and I'm too proud to steal. Oh mama I'm flat broke all my plans went up in smoke. Three kicks to the wind I'm sick of the grind. I'm oblivious I got one thing on my mind. When it's time to pay rent and all the money gets spent I need to find a new way to unwind.

Lucky Stars 06:01
"Lucky Stars" I can forget that I am alive but I'll be filled with regret when at death I arrive. Life is too short to make any plans let the sand fall right through your hands. That’s why I go placidly among the noise and the haste. Of feast and famine we've all had a taste. I was lost but now I'm found ain't nobody going to bring me down. Nobody going to bring me down. Nobody going to bring me down. I can remember once wanting to die. Now I thank my lucky stars shining in the sky. I was just a boy with the wool over my eyes, but now I chase joy and I no longer wear a disguise. So if you're going to please somebody go ahead and please yourself. Leave fame and fortune up to somebody else. If you're down at the bottom of the mountain with your ass in the sand keep moving towards the Promised Land. Keep on moving towards the Promised Land. Keep on moving towards the Promised Land. Thats why I go placidly among the noise and haste. Of feast and famine we've all had a taste. Oh I was lost but now I'm found. Ain’t nobody going to bring me down nobody is going to bring me down nobody going to bring me down.

Fat Ol' Rat 02:17
"Fat ol rat" Well sometimes I forget just who I am. I hide out like a hermit crab, shut up like a clam. If you forget just who you are, get in and take a long drive in your car. In your car you can drive around the whole world and not give a damn. In my mind the lion is sleeping with the lamb. First impressions get mighty old. Not sure if I'm jaded or the world grew cold. I don't wanna be a victim of World War III. The Devil and God to keep me company. But there’s a fat ol' rat running down the sidewalk. But I'm safe inside my tin foil blanket. Sometimes I sit and think about the world. Other times I sit alone and don't say a word. Sometimes I get down but I always stand up. I put into perspective my overflowing cup. I like the kinda parties where I hang out with the dog. Sittin' in the corner like a bump on a log. Jump off the log start out to running. Open up your eyes and you see something stunning. Put on your hat, put on your coat. Step out the door thats all she wrote man. Now don't talk about money. ‘Cuz it makes no sense. Makes people act funny. Increase their confidence. No I don't need a dollar to give me a spine. Even if I had one it wouldn't pacify my mind. ‘Cuz my mind is wandering, but my roots are planted. Always pondering the things I took for granted. Barely have time nowadays to think at all. If you wanna get together, let's get a drink, give me a call. Call me on the phone... Anytime... Day or night i'll answer... We can have some fun

"Get Outta Town” Well you can't do no dancing when your wearing a ball and chain. Ain’t no time for fireside romancing baby after it starts to rain. Can’t write you no letters baby if you’re always around. So put your money where your mouth is. Find out which way South is, and get outta town. Get outta town. Get outta town. Try not to set your bridges on fire. Keep the pavement underneath your tires. When you ain't got a friend and the world seems black. Get outta town baby and don't come back. Can't get recognized some place you ain't never been. You’re just another strangers face that nobody’s ever seen. Can’t take no wrong turns being chased by a hellhound. When your troubles increase, pack it up and go East and get outta town. Can't act too proud when you’re accepting charity. Can’t talk too loud about your plans if they are still imaginary. I know better than to wear hand me downs. Get the weight off your chest and head West and get to outta town. Can't do no singin if you're always squawking. Can’t do no running before you start to do some walkin. So I guess you'd better learn to crawl down on the ground. Before you set forth and head out North and get outta town

By My Side 06:07
"By My Side” How can I find the strength to move on? Measuring the length of every moment that you’re gone. Time is standing still and I will if you will. Though your love might hurt my pride, oh I still just want you by my side. Where do you sleep when you don't come home?I'm willing to bet you ain't been sleeping all alone. Time it ain't my friend, but I'm the sucker who's gonna do it all over again. Though your love might make me sick inside, oh I still want you by my side. I want you by my side. I want you by my side. I want you by my side, oh yeah. I want you by my side. Though it'll break my heart to go, if I stay here baby you’re sure to kill my soul. Time it's always there and so am I, if you find you still care. Though your love might make me cry, I still just want you by my side.

"Eye of the Storm" You and me go together like fire and smoke. I need somebody who's not a bartender to laugh at my jokes. Things with you and me babe used to be so sporadic, and I cried the day you said you'd take the old lamps from the attic. ‘Cuz they've been there since your dad died. And I held you through a thousand tears that you cried. And I appreciate all you do for me, and I love you. I'm true to you ‘cuz you're true to me it's what we do. I'll change the cat litter if you wash the clothes. We can get drunk all night long goodness knows. So let's drive through the night til we find ourselves somewhere warm. We can outrun the rain if we stay in the eye of the storm. Sometimes I think, that I don't deserve you. Sometimes we say these things that are untrue. And our anger spurts up out of nowhere, but I don't want to be alone baby ‘cuz life is something to share. And I hope that you can quit your job, and make more art. Someday we won't have to cry when we listen to “The Prickers Great Big Hearts.” And I'll be with you every step of the way, and so will your old man. The world's greatest inventions and discoveries weren't always planned. I'll do the dishes if you come out to my shows. We can fight over chores all night long until we're blue in the nose. So let's drive through the night til we find ourselves somewhere warm. We can outrun the rain if we stay in the eye of the storm. I know I can be selfish and I know I can be mean. And I sure ain't rich baby I can't treat you just like a queen. But my aim is true and I won't tell you no lies. Love doesn't happen overnight sometimes you got to try. You know I don't like to talk about forever, cuz that's a long long time. But as long as you walk this Earth I hope you will be mine. I don't mind traveling down the road with few bumps along ride. Right now I'm happy singing this song with you, sitting right here by my side. I'll find a dog sitter if you make up a fresh pot of joe. We can drink coffee all night long until our hearts explode. So let's drive through the night til we find ourselves somewhere warm. We can outrun the rain if we stay in the eye of the storm. We can outrun the rain if we stay in the eye of the storm. We can outrun the rain if we stay in the eye of the storm.

"Degenerates and Deviants" I'm alive and breathing, and my mind is clear. Covered in blood I lay screaming. I'm a newborn filled with fear. What I don't understand scares me. I could look, but instead I'll turn away. Please do not disturb my comfort, and I'll be happy, and ignorant for all my days. The world is evil in my lack of experience. It’s filled with people, degenerates and deviants. No you can't change me. I'm startled by the unknown. Please allow me to be deceived. Go away and leave me alone. I'm afraid to speak my mind and of what others may think. Poison is all I find so I might as well take a drink. When I speak out I get put down, down into my place. How many years has it been since you looked a stranger in the face? The world is evil in my lack of experience. It’s filled with people degenerates and deviants. No you can't change me. I'm startled by the unknown. Please allow me to be deceived. Go away and leave me alone.

"Pot Farmer’s Daughter" It was about 7 years ago and river worth of tears ago, around a fire on the banks of the mighty genesee. A girl I didn't know who came from Buffalo said, come and move to the city with me. Well I fell in love with the pot farmer’s daughter. Her mother, she warned her about me. Well those wannabe rockstars only care about their guitars. But I fell head over heels in love you see. She rose above me like oil to water. I was wrapped around her finger. I couldn’t get her out of my head. We had a good run. We had a whole lot of fun, but she threw for the ringer, and broke my heart instead. To her mother’s surprise it was her who brought tears to my eyes. While she remained unscathed. And it seemed like so long since we laughed and sang songs, and used the dirty polluted genesee river water to bathe. Yes we used the dirty polluted genesee river water to bathe. Yes I fell in love with the pot farmer’s daughter. Her mother she warned her about me. Those wannabe rockstars only care about their guitars. But I fell head over heels in love you see. Yes I fell head over heels in love you see. Yes I fell head over heels in love you see.
10.
"Daddy Long Legs Blues” I'm creeping up on you baby, like a daddy long legs. Yes I'm creeping up on you baby just like a daddy long legs. I've got you spider lady. I caught you in my little web. You know that your loved ones, they just don't get to pick ya. And your enemies are only gonna try to trick ya. And Imma wrap my self around you mama just like a boaconstrict-a. Sometimes you just got to agree to disagree. Deal with a whole lot of small talk and pleasantries. But as long as this world is turning, you ain't gonna get no sympathy. No not from me.
11.
"Sun is Setting" Well the sun is setting and my troubles are few. And I'm still forgetting the last time i saw you. But I drank like no tomorrow to forget my sorrow. Day is done nothing left to do. Yesterday I hoped that today I would be a better man. In a better way I'll live if I can. But I told so many lies and it comes as no surprise, I'm alone again where I began. The moon is rising, it’s peeking out from behind the clouds. And I can't remember what I was sad about. I talked it over with a friend. I got through it again. Yes I got it all out.
12.
"Undone in Sorrow" (written by Ola Belle Reed) Over yonder in the graveyard. Where the wild, wild flowers grow. Over there they lay my true lover. She's gone from me, forever more. Fairer than the sweetest flower. Restless as the wildest way. Born with love deep as a ocean. This is the girl that I did win. I left her there high on the mountain. To see the world riches to gain. Oh, when I returned no earthly treasure, could ease this heart so filled with pain. There so high upon that mountain, underneath a mound of clay. There the girl I returned to marry, so still among the flowers she did lay. I'll go away yes i will wander. Lay aside my earthy gain No I'll not end it a man of riches. Undone in sorrow I'll remain. Undone in sorrow I'll remain

Blood Money 05:03
"Blood Money” Rally yourselves revolutionary poets. Use your words to chant down the rubber bullets. With empty notebooks in our hands. With our words we make our stand. As you meet people whose eyes burn like signal fires. Men shoot eachother and run through razor wire. Can my words feed the mouths of all the starving children or aid the waste to all the blood that spilling? ‘Cuz when the blood and the money go down the same drain, you'll be reluctant to hear the refrain. The conclusion to prosper the golden ages bitter end. The worst part of history is when it repeats itself again. Why is it the facts are never audible? When others fall and cracks you're up on a pedestal. The strife of the city the struggle for power. Because life ain't so pretty outside your Ivory Tower. Why do you prepetuate all of this hate that you know? You had a hand in, and you might have started to look at my interior. Am I inferior? This is for the blood of the departed. Cuz when the blood and the money go down the same drain you'll be reluctant to hear the refrain. The conclusion to prosper the golden ages bitter end. The worst part of history, is when it repeats itself again.

"Rochester Rag" You hear me out there on the airwaves this one goes out to the good people of Rochester, New York. The Flower City. The Photo City. The 585. How y’all doing? Let’s play a little game. This is called the Rochester Rag. Everytime I say “Rochester” you take a little sip your beverage. It’s a long way from Vermont to Buffalo. We got one more stop before we go home Rochester, New York, where there’s times to be had. Some of the best times I ever had, was in Rochester doing the Rochester Rag. Hey babe do the Rochester Rag. Hey baby come with me. We’re going to the Flower City. Hey babe there's times to be had were going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag. They got the Bugjar down on Monroe. That’s where all the punk rockers like to go. If you need a banjo, get yourself to Bernunzio’s. It’s where Son House died singing the blues. Joe Beard is still around playing the tunes. Doin’ the rag. That Rochester Rag. Hey baby come with me. We’re going to the Flower City. Hey babe there's times we had, we going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag. Yes we are. Frederick Douglass, Emma Goldman, Susan B taught the people how to be free. They made their contribution, and they danced their way through the revolution. Did the rag oh that Rochester Rag. Hey baby come with me. We’Re going to the Flower City. Hey babe there's times we had we going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag. It smells great in May when the lilacs bloom. You go down and get yourself cream ale at the local Saloon. Get yourself a can of worms. Syracuse is dirty and Buffalo is rough. Rochester must have that special stuff. Right in between, like Goldilocks. Hey babe come with me. We’re going to the Flower City. Hey babe there's times we had, we going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag. To accurately describe anything, you have to talk about the good and the bad parts of something. You got to be bipartisan ‘cuz everything isn't all sunshine, and rainbows, and unicorns all the time. Now I'm going to take a quick moment describe some of the downsides to the great city of Rochester, New York. Sometimes, the crows black out the sky. It’s a little bit scary, I don't know why. The gunshots ring out almost every day, but that doesn't scare the good people of Rochester away. The people down there like to ski and ride the white horse. Too much of anything is a problem of course. Except for that rag, cuz you can't get it in a bag. Hey babe come with me. We going to the Flower City. Hey babe there's times we had, we going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag. oh yeah Buffalo is my home away from home, but Rochester is where I was grown. Where I cut my teeth. This place charges my blood. People that like to jump and shout, and they know what it's all about, and they dance till the wee hours of the morn. They sure like reggae a lot in the Roc. Lots of Reggae bands, they all sound good. I love ‘em all. The scene is great, vast, and different now do that rag, that Rochester Rag. Hey babe come with me. We going to the Flower City. Hey babe there's times we had, we going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag. Sure glad that me and my brother get along cuz I drop by his place when I can’t stay long then gone baby gone, just like Kodak. Hey baby come with me. We going to the Flower City. Hey baby there’s times we had we going to Rochester to do that Rochester Rag.

"Silver Lining" Making these hard decisions gives me a vision of forgotten places and tunes when life was in its prime. In forgotten old weary times, the raindrops falling on you and me and June. So you got problems. Everybody does. It’s the same as it ever was. You and me used to be so depression proof . Yes it’s so up to your mind. There is love to find. It’s the secret truth to our youth. The cloud I plan on finding has got a silver lining . Everything was so clear (everything so clear.) I wish that I could see just where I'll be in just another year. I'm out in the open to be ripped apart. My mouth is open with words coming straight from my heart. It’s so hard to find someone with credibility, but babe I think you know you got enough for me. I'm feeling relaxed but now I'm agitated. Was it called for? Was it instigated? It’s not too much now, don't get jealous. It’s just a little much, an overzealous. So you got problems. Everybody does. It’s the same as it ever was. You and me used to be so depression proof. Yes it's so up to your mind. There is so much love to find. It’s the secret truth to our youth. The cloud I plan on finding has got a silver lining. Everything was so clear (everything so clear.) I wish that I could see just where I'll be in just another year.
