lyrics

"Pot Farmer’s Daughter"

It was about 7 years ago and river worth of tears ago, around a fire on the banks of the mighty genesee. A girl I didn't know who came from Buffalo said, come and move to the city with me.

Well I fell in love with the pot farmer’s daughter. Her mother, she warned her about me. Well those wannabe rockstars only care about their guitars. But I fell head over heels in love you see.

She rose above me like oil to water. I was wrapped around her finger. I couldn’t get her out of my head. We had a good run. We had a whole lot of fun, but she threw for the ringer, and broke my heart instead. To her mother’s surprise it was her who brought tears to my eyes. While she remained unscathed. And it seemed like so long since we laughed and sang songs, and used the dirty polluted genesee river water to bathe. Yes we used the dirty polluted genesee river water to bathe.

Yes I fell in love with the pot farmer’s daughter. Her mother she warned her about me. Those wannabe rockstars only care about their guitars. But I fell head over heels in love you see. Yes I fell head over heels in love you see. Yes I fell head over heels in love you see.
